Ideally, these 3 categories (FLEX, HEAD and HAND) will be in the form of pulldown menus that will contain the options listed above.

The customer will select ONE option from each of the three categories for the club they wish to purchase.

for example:

Men's Biggest Big Bertha Titanium Driver Flex: R; Head: 3; Hand: L

Now, when they make these selections, I have to have a way to capture this group of selections and compare them to already assigned part numbers. (The part numbers will be unique for each possible configuration FOR EACH CLUB. - for example, the configuration above might be assigned to this partnumber MBBBTD-1. Thus the problem, these clubs have so many different possible configurations I can't do this the usual way with the shopping cart. I don't know the proper way to declare these variables (part numbers) to equal each configuration, capture it when selected and compare it to the already assigned part number. After those functions are done, then it has to somehow plug that unique part number into the shopping cart as usual.

I hope this is clear enough. It would be much easier if we were face to face.

Do you like hot sauce??? We have TONS of it and I'd be happy to send you some for your help! I know that isn't much, but I know that your time is valuable. I hope this would be a great "real world" situation for your students. You could even show them the program in action on our site! :) Thanks Rich - let me know what you think!
